Term Time + Inset days (39 weeks a year)

22.5 Hours a week (8.45am-1.15pm)

Grade 5, Points 7 to 8 (£9,807-£10,004)

We seek an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work at Great Dalby Primary School. This is a fixed term contract for 4.5 hours per day, five days a week, during term time only to include Inset Days.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join us at Great Dalby Primary School on a fixed term basis as soon as possible. The post will initially be on a temporary basis until the end of the academic year when it will be reviewed dependent on continued funding.

The successful candidate will work five mornings a week (22.5 hours a week) across 39 weeks of the year, an excellent opportunity for someone looking to balance work and home life.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Learning Support Team who provide support to pupils across the school. The role will require predominantly supporting students on a 1:1 basis but may sometimes be require to work with different classes or key stages, depending on the needs of the pupils and of the school as a whole. You will have the opportunity to support our pupils to help develop their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development.

We are looking to appoint a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is committed to providing high quality provision to our pupils and support to the Teachers within the school.

The ideal candidate for the role will be NVQ Level 2 qualified or equivalent with experience of supporting teaching and learning in an educational setting. The ability to take direction from the Class Teacher to ensure all tasks and learning is undertaken within and outside of the classroom will be essential to being successful in this role.
